The prohibition of forced labour: the case of Chowdury and others v. Greece
Summary:
The present dissertation deals with the prohibition of forced labour. To this end, the case Chowdury and others v. Greece is being used as a case study, providing the guidelines for examining the prohibition in contemporary terms. This paper attempts to examine two research questions: on the one hand, what is the position of the prohibition of forced labour in the hierarchical stratification of rules of international law and on the other hand whether there is a link between the prohibition of forced labour and the prohibition of trafficking in human beings.
