Stray city animal awareness program - Educational documentary development

In an era where dealing with two converging crises, the rapid growth of environmental degradation and the decidedly lackluster biological education (Myers, 1988), student education on social and environmental issues is of great import. The size of the stray animal issue along with primary education's lacking engagement with the subject has led to the need for carrying out a project such as this one. It is an incredible challenge to sensitize, inform and educate our youth so as to guide them toward having the correct approach when it comes to our stray animals.
Audiovisual means such as Documentaries to be more specific, can be a useful tool to wield in achieving this goal. So, within the boundaries of this project an educational documentary is created with us tasked to explore the value of its use in an educational capacity against that of a more traditional medium, text.
In this present research is described the study of a such task for which are studied: the design, development, and materialization as well as the evaluation of a program built to inform and sensitize on the subject of stray animals within an urban environment.
