The "discordant music" of K. G. Karyotakis and the metrics in his generation's poetry. A comparative analysis
Summary:
The subject of this thesis is the comparative examination of the metric identity of some interwar poets' poetry, starting from the groundbreaking nature of the rhythmic identity of K. G. Karyotakis' poetry. In particular, it is examined whether and to what extent there is a metric renewal of the traditional verse in the poetry of Tellos Agras, Kostas Ouranis, Mitsos Papanikolaou and Maria Polydouri, and whether this renewal is attempted under the Caryotakic model of the inner undermining the verse.
