Διαπραγμάτευση, η εξέλιξη, η σημασία και ο ρόλος της στην Ελληνική Αστυνομία
Translated title:
Negotiation, development, importance and role in Hellenic Police
Summary:
Negotiation is a communication process that takes place between two or more personsfor immediate consultation between them in order to achieve / resolve any differences through discussion while satisfying their common aspirations.Over the years, many models have been developed that deal with crisis management techniques and the strategies that apply to the negotiation process so that the outcome and resolution of the incident can be successful. Along with the research community many steps have been taken by the Greek Police to develop protocols capable of ensuring the safety of all those involved during a situation in need of negotiation. The negotiators are trained in various persuasion-making techniques, ways of communication, psychological techniques, and the correct use of language in their own right to accomplish the difficult task they have undertaken. In a hostage situation the target is to achieve the best possible outcome and to ensure the safety of the hostages, avoiding bloody clashes.
