Study of emotions during collaborative design of educational material
This research was conducted within the framework of the postgraduate program: Theory, Practice and Evaluation of the Educational Project, aimed at: Digital Technologies in Education, in the field of teaching education, with the aim of exploring the importance of the teacher's emotional involvement in joint participation with other adult teachers of different specialties, in the production of an educational scenario which first and foremost plays a role as a subject of mediation. The research was implemented in two timeframes and two levels, initially individually and then collectively.
In a more specific context, the research interest focuses on the mechanisms, in terms of the theoretical framework of border crossing, which are activated during the co-design of the educational scenario by the teachers of different specialties. At a second context, the interest is focused on the emotional mobilization of teachers for the co-creation of the scenario for which they need to pass their cognitive and empirical borders, while in conclusion, the individual and collective feelings that are mobilized in the common framework of action of the co-operating teachers are identified.
For collecting data, a number of techniques have been used, most notably the use of a device for detecting, recording and interpreting brain signals. This device is able to translate the brain signals into six key variables: interest, engagement, stress, focus, excitement and relaxation. Research findings can not lead to foolproof and generalized conclusions. However, they allow us to express, with a reservation, the existence of a correlation between the emotional mobilization of teachers and the theoretical framework of the crossing of the cognitive and empirical boundaries that distinguish cooperation.
