Consumer's protection when credit institutions violate the obligation of confidentiality, the prohibition of third- party information and the regulation of protecting personal data
Summary:
The European Union's single market permits the free traffic of people, services, commodities and capital in an economy that produces about 15 trillion euros per year, while a key priority of the European Commission is to achieve a deeper and fairer single market for financial services, including through digital technologies. However, a key step towards achieving this vision is to strengthen consumer's confidence when acquiring domestic or not, financial services, while their confidence has been shaken by new business models of financial service providers, which entail the emergence of new threats to the rights of consumers and secondly because of the variety and complexity of financial products used in the automated, practice. Consequently, there is a strong desire for a more coherent research into the issue of promoting the security of sensitive financial personal data in the modern digital automated financial world and searching consumer's protection opportunities, which have increased consumption potentials but reduced resistance too.
