Summary:
This study investigates the interconnections between the theories of Leadership, Leader and School Manager of primary schools in Greece. Firstly the terms Leader and leadership are being analysed and dissected to their basic elements. The second part addresses issues of School Manager skills, obligations and duties as they are difined within the Greek educational legislative framework. Afterwars the interellations of the above are being examined critically in order to find those elements that encourage or discourage leadership in the context of puplic primary school administration.
