Summary:
This study has been an attempt to manufacture the Van der Graaf machine using simple everyday materials. Its main purpose was to clarify the comprehensible mode of operation of the machine by the students without, however, obligatory buying the exact prototype. Both the implementation steps and the experimental applications and worksheets that can be used in a possible implementation are analyzed. Reference was made to the parts of the machine and to the natural concepts encountered. Simple daily materials were used and the manufacturing process was partly based on internet videos. The final implementation of this was done following empirical changes of the manufacturer itself. The manufacturing process of this machine helps to increase students' interest during the course, as well as constant feedback from the developer. However, it does not cease to be a time-consuming and demanding process, but it can be a motive to further research and use in science laboratories.
