Summary:
The analysis and storage of DNA, introduced by the often -but substantially- changed provision of the Article 200a of the greek CPC, and the problems that arise from it, are the subject of this paper, which is an attempt to analyze, what is DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), how it can contribute to the progress and completion of the criminal process, how reliable its analysis is, how fair it is to store it for further analysis, what problems arise from the Article 200a grCPC and what are the doctrine and jurisprudence positions on the matter.
