This paper’s subject is marine cargo insurance. The parts of the insurance contract, the obligations undertaken by the parties at pre-contractual stage and during the execution of the insurance contract, what losses will be covered in the event of the risk occurring and the occurrence of the insurance case and what the consequences are upon expiry of the insurance contract are analyzed. Moreover, some issues, such as the transit clause and the open cover, were studied specially.
