Summary:
Abstract.
In the recent years, the utilization of new technologies and programmes (i.e therapeutic software and platforms) has led to a new era of development for online counselling, boosting its presence.
Online counselling makes use of cutting-edge technology, aiming for services of quality, effectivity and affordability. This has led to a thriving online presence, as the lack of physical proximity is covered by the provision of more sophisticated online services.
Recently, the burgeoning need for counselling in Universities, paired with the fewer resources of the university couselling centers, has contributed to the offer of alternatives, such as online counselling.
This paper focuses on the online counselling services of fourteen Universities in the United Kingdom. Using qualitative methods we will try to form an “identity” for online counselling, through the analysis of said webpages.
