The reception of Carlo Goldoni in Greece

The dissertation aims to provide a recording and a study of the reception of the Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni in Greece.
Goldoni’s life and dramaturgy are presented, integrated into the spiritual and theatrical life of Venice of his time. The thesis also examines his reception in the rest of Europe. However, the dissertation focuses on his course in Greece. A course that begins in the 18th century, through the first translations of his plays, and continues with the first performances of his plays presented in Greece from 1863 to 2014.
In the second part, there are annexes including: List of plays by Goldoni, productions of his plays in Greece, list of his translation published in Greek, reviews, bibliography and data of the illustrations.
