This thesis is an attempt to examine the consistence of criminalization of conducts which are considered as “harm to self” - and specifically drug use - with the principles of criminal law. The whole subject is examined in relation to the notion of “act” as it is considered in criminal law, the right to dispose a legally protected good, as well as legal paternalism.
