Study of cystic fibrosis disease with bioinformatics' tools
Summary:
Nowadays the development of Bioinformatics science has led to rapid
developments in the genomic field and to the increasing volume of biological data due to
the development of new methodologies for the molecular study of genes involved in the
occurrence of diseases. Experimental data is continually increasing and it is necessary to
store them in Biological Data Bases so that they can be used directly by the scientific
community.
Initially, reference is made to the science of Bioinformatics and to the increasing
databases of Biological Data. Next, the National Center for Biotechnology Information
(NCBI) is presented. Then, there is information about the genetic disease, which is the
genetic hereditary disease of Cystic Fibrosis. Below the information is provided by the
Bioinformatics tools and, in particular, the tools of the NCBI website for CFTR Cystic
Fibrosis.
The purpose of this work is purely educational and aims to show how
Bioinformatics tools can help in the study of a biological problem. The result of this work
is about how bioinformatics science helps to solve biological problems by providing a
wealth of information easily and instantly. It should be noted that this work is not based on
experimental data.
