Η Αξιοποίηση των Θεατρικών Τεχνικών στη Διδασκαλία της Οδύσσειας
Translated title:
The Utilization of Theatrical Techniques at Teaching Odyssey
Summary:
Educational Theatre, based on pedagogy’s and psychology’s research findings, has manifested the positive effects of Theatre Art in learning processes and outcomes (Papadopoulos, 2010). More specifically, theatrical techniques constitute an alternative way of teaching, as they utilize students’ creativity, stimulate their empathic and expressive skills (Fanouraki, 2010) and cultivate their interpersonal and intrapersonal flairs. This study, having Constructivism as its main foundation, as well as contemporary educational and teaching methods, attempts to explore the confluence of theatrical techniques and activities to Homer’s Odyssey with regard to a) culture and formation of positive teaching environment, b) descriptive composition of characters’ ethography and c) presentation of core values of the Homeric Age, through students’ answers.
