Summary:
The rapid growth of technology and internet has led to the development of new technologies that are used for both personal and professional purposes. The available programming languages allow the development of websites through which companies display their products and services. Dedicated technologies allow the development of static web pages. Interesting are the dynamic web sites which are more flexible and are being developed through Content Management Systems. These systems allow the content of the web page to be changed in real time while they are supporting a large number of templates and extensions.
The aim of this diploma thesis is the development of the website of the Anatomy-Histology-Embryology Laboratory. The website was developed in collaboration with the Athens University Network Center following the safety standards and rules. The aim of the website is to provide information and educational material to the students of the Department of Nursing related to Anatomy. Due to security restrictions, it was not possible to enrich the website with multimedia (slides, video, images) or to add a questionnaire or even install a different template or add-ons. The continuous support and updating of the website as well as the addition of multimedia material and additional features are topics of discussion for the improvement of the website.
