Απεικονιστική διερεύνηση της νεφρασβέστωσης
Translated title:
Imaging investigation of nephrocalcinosis
Summary:
The aim of this investigation is to discuss, analyze and evaluate the current imaging
modalities used in modern medicine in order to conduct a correct and efficient diagnosis
in nephrocalsinosis cases.
During this investigation, a comprehensive review of the existing literature will be performed in order to comprehend nephrocalsinosis, its pathology and underlying causes and to examine and reveal the strength and weakness of each imaging modality currently used in respect of their specificity, sensitivity, time requirement and cost effectiveness.
This would enable us to have clear view of the options available, so we can determine the most appropriate modality to use in each case respectively. Such an empirical investigation shall enable us to discuss the various modalities and enable to identify and put in clinical practice the most appropriate option for the prompt and most efficient nephrocalsinosis diagnosis.
