Summary:
Being deeply rooted in the history of mankind, immigration is not a sign of our
times. The migratory phenomenon is multidimensional and multi-level by its
nature as it is a special dynamic process that characterizes the movement of
populations in a country of which they do not have citizenship, in order to seek
a better life.
In this dissertation we will refer to the Humanitarian Logistics in Greece and
the change of negative perceptions and attitudes towards immigrants and
refugees, especially women, which is crucial for coping with extreme negative
attitudes and behaviors against them.
Particular reference will be made to the particular problems experienced by
women refugees in host structures on a daily basis and especially to the
important role of Greek women regarding their efforts to really help the new
situation that is being formed in Greek local communities.
Women who through many personal, family, ideological, religious, cultural and
social difficulties and beyond the concerns that are often caused and faced,
struggle and manage to bring the message of solidarity, respect for diversity
and peaceful coexistence with their long suffering fellow man.
