Research and statistic analysis of of the burnout syndrome effects of Okana personnel
Summary:
The main purpose of this project is the investigation of the burnout syndrome in health professionals of Okana. The professional burnout syndrome is characterised by a permanent stress and pressure at the working environment which is chronic. The health professional cannot handle this pressure and stress and he presents symptoms at the body and soul at the same time. Basic characteristic is the exhaustion of mental powers (Maslach, Jackson, 1981). This leads the health professional to be less productive. This thesis aims at the research and statistic analysis of of the burnout syndrome effects of Okana personnel and the way it stands out in relation to individual and environmental (work) characteristics. It is used the Maslach Burnout Inventory-MBI, 1986 translated in greek, with a sample of 104 health professionals of Okana. In the end, it appeared that the emotional exhaustion decreases in people with greater education level, while it increases for less satisfaction of money and the personal achievements icrease for people in high charge places.
