Frequency of helicobacter pylori infection in dyspeptic patients. Effect of modern eradication therapy
Summary:
The purpose of this research was to study the incidence of Helicobacter pylori infection (H. pylori) in dyspeptic patients. H. pylori is a known pathogen that colonizes the gastric mucosa of about half of the world's population and can lead to gastritis, ulceration or even malignancy. The place of research was the Gastroenterological Department of Pathological Physiology of the People's Genetics, Medical School, NCAA, while the sample was patients who were admitted to the regular external Gastroenterological Clinic with dyspeptic complaints and who were being tested for H. pylori infection according to the guidelines instructions. The results of the current study on both the incidence of H. pylori infection in dyspeptic patients and the rates of eradication of modern therapy were then compared with existing bibliographic data
