Development and creation of database for children and adolescents on the psychiatric clinic of general hospital.
The adaption of information systems by corporations and other organizations is observed since 80s. Most of the recent information systems are based on the database management technology.
A hospital is organization which uses that kind of systems, in order to provide advanced health services.
According to the use of a system like this, a Database of patients of a child and adolescence psychiatric clinic was created.
Its purpose was to provide the staff of the psychiatric clinic systemically selected data related to each other, from which information could be extracted.
The methodology was based on the creation of a schedule, which included the analysis and definition of the database requirements, and its diagrammatic depiction, in order to solve problems arising from the large amount of clinical information.
The implementation was accomplished by using the XAMPP program, in which files (programming languages: Bootstrap, HTML, PHP) and images were saved. After a research, data was collected from internet and printed literature.
The data used in the created system was provided from psychiatric incidents during a year.
The evaluation of the application was done with the focus group method, involving the users of the psychiatric clinic of children and adolescents.
In conclusion, a database, which enables the rapid transition of information between the members of child and adolescence psychiatric clinic and provides a holistic approach to the health problems of its patients, was accomplished.
