Summary:
The unlimited possibilities of digital mobile device technologies, coupled with ever-upgraded telecommunication services, and the capabilities of the Internet have provided new ways of digital interaction. The internet, social networks, digital devices and mobile phones allow users to exchange digital information over networks. All of these contribute to the lives of people of all ages. Nowadays, their use by children and adolescents is rising rapidly and is considered an important part of their everyday life. But beyond the scope of their capabilities, there is a risk framework within it. In addition, there is talk of the incomplete security of personal data in it. For this reason, it is vital to manage media properly and to develop digital skills from childhood so that they can be excellent tools of communication, information and entertainment.
At the same time, the evolution of digital mobile device technologies in combination with the Internet has opened new horizons in Information and Communication Technologies. One of these is Augmented Reality-AR, which is a constantly evolving technology with constant emerging potential that has emerged in the field of education, and the studies so far show that its exploitation can have very positive learning outcomes results. A part of this is augmented reality books whose use in education also increases the contribution of ICT, giving the student and the teacher additional tools in the learning process and in building knowledge.
Through the review of the above fields, the present study dealt with augmented papers and the development of safe Internet use skills. Its purpose was to create an augmented book in the form of a guide addressed to primary school pupils and to aim at educating students about safe internet and personal data security.
