Summary:
This is a retrospective study of 100 patients with COPD who were hospitalized for infectious exacerbation of the disease in the ICU during 2012-2018. Clinical characteristics of patients, laboratory indicators and inflammation markers, co-morbidities, as well as days of hospitalization in mechanical ventilation prior to admission to ICU, duration of hospitalization and ICU mortality were recorded.The aim of this study was to record their characteristics and their correlation with the outcome of COPD patients hospitalized in the ICU of a reference hospital for respiratory diseases.
