Summary:
The present project explores the issue of the ethnocentrism. This controversial concept is examined in the light of another six concepts and more specifically those of, the “folk”, of “state”, of “nation”, of “homeland”, of “country” and of “tribe”. The analysis of these similar concepts can be used complementary to the best interpretation of the basic meaning of the ethnocentrism, which is studied in greater depth in terms of education and in the school handbook of History at 3rd class of High School. This manual identifies the frequency of reference in each course of the above six concepts and as a result an analysis is made and a conclusion on whether or not ethnocentric, the History of 3rd class of High School can be considered.
