Summary:
Abstract


The present research work aims to highlight the new business efforts, in a constantly changing environment, due to the economic crisis, using as a case study the “Strategy of Elepod» (Greek Professional Guide). In the first chapter, initially, we will focus in the significance of the concept of business and we will attempt to analyze the internal environment (economic, physical, human and technological resources) and external direct and indirect, focusing to those factors, which influence most (political, legal, economic, social, and technological). In the second chapter we will try to show the importance of strategy. We will present the advantages and the disadvantages for a company, by analyzing all kinds of strategic development. In the third chapter we will clarify the development of a new product, its decisive role for a company and the success and failure factors, particularly through the economic crisis that we all experience.
After presenting the company’s external environment, in the fourth chapter, we will analyze the internal environment of the company because it is essential for the configuration and the adoption of suitable strategy, through Porter’s five forces model. Using SWOT analysis, we will show the strengths and the weaknesses of the company’s internal environment and also the opportunities and threats of the external.
Finally, In the fifth chapter we will present the digital advertising and its importance for the business world. The research will focus on Elepod (Greek Professional Guide) a startup company. In conclusion, we will refer to the obstacles which companies have to confront, especially through the economic crisis and the opportunities arise.
