Summary:
The dissertation refers to the symptom of inflammation, as it appears in the medical prescriptions of the Greek-Roman Egypt written on papyri. In the first chapter, a short analysis of the term preceded, taking lexical references into account. Then, we mentioned the way that inflammation is testified in medical prescriptions. In the next chapter, our research focused on the treatment and medications prescribed in order to relieve the patient. At the end, i summarized my conclusions. Last but not least, i cited unclassified prescriptions that cannot be included in main body of the dissertation.
