"Corporate social responsibility for sustainable development in the group "EL.PE. S.A.". Comparison and convergence with good practices".

This thesis is with title "Corporate Social Responsibility for Sustainable Development in the Group" EL.PE. SA ". Comparison and convergence with good practices ".
In this work, we present the Hellenic Petroleum Group and an in-depth investigation into how the group perceives and applies corporate social responsibility (CSR) for sustainable development relevant actions.
There is an extensive reference to the meaning and importance of Corporate Social Responsibility and its relationship to sustainability, where global sustainability standards are analyzed and the largest framework of corporate social responsibility and sustainability is highlighted, emphasizing the points of difference and the overlapping ones.
After getting acquainted with the Hellenic Petroleum Group, a summary is made of the Group's sustainable development and corporate social responsibility report and we go through the indicators used by the group to monitor its activities in the specific fields of responsible entrepreneurship, social responsibility and sustainability.
In our effort to confirm or reject our research question, that the Hellenic Petroleum Group exploits and incorporates in its functions the principles of CSR and sustainable development and that in essence it invests strategically and not simply for communication reasons, we approached the appropriate executives of the group, as well as independent market leaders in the field of CSR with an extensive experience from large companies in the energy sector in Greece and abroad, in order to see if the practices of the Hellenic Petroleum Group converge with the good practices applied by similar companies worldwide.
The result of our research is that the Hellenic Petroleum Group (HELPE) strategically invests in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, with the three pillars, economy-society-environment, at the heart of its actions and applies relevant good practices.
