Worldwide, more and more adolescents use electronic media with displays, consoles, digital tools, platforms and services to learn, explore, engage, entertain, innovate, work, or socialize.
Direct access to information, services, and persons that are scarce brings benefits and, at the same time, it can involve both real and virtual dangers. Does electronic communication have begun to substitute face to face social interaction?
But the increasing trend of using electronic media coupled with the growing tendency of lack of concentration and attention has raised concerns among parents and scientists about the detrimental effects that screen use can make in the lives of adolescents in the future. What is the correlation of electronic media / screen in the development of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in adolescents?
