Modeling - simulation and optimization of processes in the section of computed-magnetic tomography
Summary:
The diploma thesis attempts to model all phases of the CT scanning procedures of a public hospital. The modeling of these procedures concerns both outpatients and hospitalized patients. The aim of this formatting is to systematically describe these processes as well as to elaborate the need to review them.
The processes are plotted with the help of drawings that graphically represent participants (roles) and the actions that each performs in the form of a flow of actions. The drawings are depicted 1) using the BPMN (Business Process Modeling Nation) modeling language that is an international standard standard for displaying processes and 2) assisting the Bizagi tool (https://www.bizagi.com/), which supports modeling processes with BPMN and simulating them.
This work focuses on the analysis of each role and the actions it performs in each case, the alternative paths provided by the procedure on a case-by-case basis as well as the time series in which each role acts. The visualization of the processes is achieved by the visual representation of the processes, while at the same time surface problems and deficiencies that have been observed during the modeling and simulation of the processes. Finally, we are investigating (through revision of the existing model and new simulation) proposals to address these problems in order to optimize the processes by making them more effective.
