Summary:
Cyber security and cybercrime are among the most modern subjects of study of humanities, and not only, science. International politics is no longer practiced only in closed rooms, and theory should be able to collect and process the available data and information to explain the contemporary phenomena. The modern challenges facing states are manifested both in their "physical" state of and in cyberspace, as a direct result of globalized society, which imposes a multi-faceted approach. This study attempts to address the most crucial issues in the field of international politics and international relations by focusing on a thorough analysis of the issue of cyber-threats and cyber-terrorism in the European Union. In addition, the effect of the aforementioned threats on cyberpower of the European Union will be studied. Κey concepts will be examined, and the analysis will emphasize on what cyber threats and how they appear in the dark network and how the legal framework is developed to prevent and tackle cybercrime.
