The perspective of integrating Serbia in the EU
Summary:
The study in the first part deals with EU policy in the Balkans, with a brief reference to the European Union's relations with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the conference in Zagreb in 2000 and thereafter the EU-Western Balkans Summit in 2003 in Thessaloniki.
Subsequently, in the second part, Serbian candidacy will be presented and the EU's reaction to a possible Serbian integration that would take place during the Serbian Prime Minister by 2007. More specifically, in this chapter we will refer to the independence of Montenegro from the FRY, in the case of Kosovo, the Russian influence to Serbia and the 2009 accession. Analyzing the above events, the reader will be able to understand how regional developments in Serbia's neighborhood, as well as external interventions, shape the country's EU accession course.
In the third and final part will highlight recent international (eg Russian influence of today), economic and political (eg Kosovo) factors influencing the Serbian integration into the European construction. In addition, Serbia's political confrontations with other countries on the road to European integration will also be mentioned.
Finally, with the writing of these three parts, the conclusion of the study will be presented. This conclusion will be an in-depth Cretan study of the present study, while at the same time announcing the reason for the emergence of Serbian inclusion as an important and interesting subject. At the same time, the conclusion will be the need to establish a united and powerful Europe by spreading the European Idea to the countries of the Western Balkans. In addition, reference will be made to the benefits of a Serbian integration for the country itself.
