Legal and ethical framework on cybercrime control
Summary:
The purpose of this paper is to investigate cybercrime, in particular legal and ethical dimensions. The research methodology followed is that of the bibliographic review. Cybercrime is a term for any illegal activity that uses a computer as its primary means of committing. Cybercrime can have major implications, including financial loss, theft of intellectual property and loss of consumer confidence and others. The internet is an excellent tool for fraudsters and other villains, allowing them to carry out their activities while hiding behind a shield of digital anonymity. There are a number of policies and measures developed to tackle cybercrime, but there is still much to be done.
