Criteria and factors determining the needs inInatural disasters- A simulation model analysis
Summary:
The subject of this study is the impact on human needs caused by natural disasters. The main purpose of this study is to investigate both the needs that are directly generated and their assessment. To this end, an extensive analysis of the theoretical approach of the subject is made, through an overview of ways, methods and plans for dealing with natural disasters both at national and global level. In addition, the national institutional framework of civil protection is described, as well as the way of recording and investigating the risk and vulnerability of each society. Analysis from a study of disaster simulation exercise on European soil, completes the field of analysis and enriches research. Finally, the conclusions of the theoretical and practical approaches of the subject are presented, emphasizing the proposals for redesigning and improving the functioning of the existing mechanisms and procedures.
