The asymmetric disadvantages of terrorism in an increased globalized society and the means of treatment
Summary:
The international community faces a new form of threats called asymmetric threats. The terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 in the US, and the follow-up, have shown in the most imaginative way the magnitude and effectiveness of these threats.
Today's exploitation of the potential and the benefits of globalization on the part of terrorists creates the basis for its emergence as a dominant asymmetric threat.
The new data has differentiated the features of the terrorist phenomenon by worrying about the international community which has adopted a strategically-oriented future-oriented and balanced counter-terrorism program.
The methodology followed in the work is the bibliographic review. The information has been drawn from scientific writings and articles printed and electronically, as well as from Greek and foreign language bibliography
