Summary:
OASA S.A. implements a new system to enhance public transportation by establishing the electronic ticket. A form of electronic ticket is the personalized electronic card, which is a stored-value contactless smartcard that can hold single tickets or period tickets and has a microchip processing of personal data. Purpose of this master thesis is to indicate the two opposite rights, on the one hand the right of OASA S.A. to implement the new system as the controller and on the other hand the conflicting right of personal data protection. The study analyses legal issues through the opinions of the Personal Data Protection Authority.
