Summary:
This paper deals with the loans provided by banks to their employees with a view to the acquisition of their shares by the employees. Even though this kind of loan is legal and encourages the participation of the employees in the company's shareholder structure, the tactics followed by the banks, as well as the major financial crisis that Greece is still going through, make protecting the employees - borrowers necessary. This paper examines sections 178, 143, 388, 288, 380, 914 of the Greek Civil Code in order to establish if and which of them can offer aproppriate solutions to the given problems, to the end of achieving justice and equity.
