Summary:
This paper approaches the subject of considering the legal recognition of Gender Identity of trans people as an absolute right guaranteed by the Greek Constitution, the Greek Civil Law, the European Convention of Human Rights and other European legislative acts. An extensive analysis is then made of the provisions of the Greek Law 4491/2017 on the proceedings of correcting the gender identity in the act of birth and in other documents , and the most typical legal consequences of the provisions of this law are mentioned.
