«Transformations in Folk Tales»: Planning, implementation and evaluation of educational program for pre-school education.

Transformations are a frequent motif of folk tales in Greece and in all over the world. In this master degree thesis, we attempted the planning, the implementation and the evaluation of a Cultural Educational Program for pre-school education, focusing on folk tales and especially on the element of transformation of heroes. We follow an interdisciplinary approach of the subject and the methodological approach of the Project. Sixteen toddlers were actively involved in the process and implementation of the Educational Program.
The evaluation of the program showed that pupils responded positively to the educational activities and managed to achieve the objectives of the curriculum to the maximum extent. The children were quite familiar with the folk fairy tale world and participated with great pleasure during the activities.
