Summary:
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the period 1895-1908, on issues related to
Greek public opinion and how it was shaped towards the Bulgarians. It is a period of time
during which important events took place which established a landmark for the formation
of a new period of modern Greek history.
The press at the time, having an influence on public opinion, reflects the national
ideology which it also shaped, as well. Thus, events during the period under
consideration were highlighted by the newspapers, which covered a broad political
spectrum and contributed to the social, political and ideological developments of the
years 1895-1908.
