Integration and adaptation of immigrants in the school environment: views and practices of primary school teachers
Summary:
The massive entry of foreign immigrants in Greece in recent years has shaped a new reality that has affected Greek society in all its fields and, as it is natural, has not left the education sector unaffected. School classes, especially those of the Primary School, are mostly multicultural by inviting teachers to respond to new roles by assuming that they want it and are ready to respond to the new demands of their work. The aim of this work is to investigate whether modern teachers want to teach in a multicultural classroom if they have the appropriate training to respond to their new role and if so what techniques and methods they use to achieve integration and integration of these children.
