Summary:
The subject of this paper is to highlight the vocabulary problems of students and to propose the implementation of an intervention to improve teaching. The necessity to find ways of improving the expressive and preventive vocabulary, has led to the creation of words that will be taught bilingual students of intercultural schools and monolingual students in Fourth grade.
Initially, it takes place the presentation of the theoretical approaches concerning the development of vocabulary and the characteristics of bilingualism and of intercultural education. Subsequently, the teaching methods that applied to intercultural and typical schools are referred and is highlighted the necessity to find teaching methods that encourage language learning by bilingual and non-students. Through the review of relevant literature, it is identified the extent of the vocabulary problem in bilingual students. The steps needed for the completion of the teaching intervention that is proposed are also presented, as well as the way for their adjustment in the research. Finally, are highlited the problems that should be solved when designing and organizing the intervention, as well as the expected results and its educational implications.
