Summary:
The aim of the present study was to determine which miRNAs are differentially expressed in various Hp infection conditions, as well as the associated molecular pathways. For this purpose, the relative differential expression of miRNAs was defined in the AGS cell line of gastric adenocarcinoma using microarrays, in a |FoldChange|≥ 2 and p-value< 5% cutoff, in P12 isogenic Hp strains infected conditions in which the bacteria carried CagA protein with kinase activity (ABCC) or not (ABFF) and in cagA-knockout infected conditions (cagA-KO). AGS non-infected cells that undergo the same treatment constituted the negative control sample. Following this, the molecular signaling pathways were examined using bioinformatic analysis (DIANA, IPA, in p-value < 5%) for the differentially expressed miRNAs and their mRNA-targets.
