Social Democracy and Liberalism. Comparative vision. Theory-Act-Perspective
Summary:
Social democracy and liberalism are two of the most influential ideological streams in politics and economy in the last centuries. Although they started as economic and political theories, over the years they developed into complete governance proposals and in many cases these proposals became acts.
The purpose of this thesis is to make a comparative approach of these two ideologies. To describe the roots of their beginning, their evolution, their distortions, their changes and their interactions until today. With the aid of both contemporary and past bibliography, there will be an attempt to have a clear, where possible, image of their ideological pinpoint, their main points, but also the attempts of their implementations and the results that they had.
Finally, there will be an attempt to investigate the perspective of social democracy and liberalism, their upcoming challenges and the role they can play today and in the future.
