Summary:
This postgraduate diploma thesis, studies the way the Greek Press of 1922 addressed the Trial of the Six (1922). Initially, the importance of the Press is analyzed and the major newspapers of 1922 are presented. Afterwards, the historical and political background of the Trial of the Six is explained. The study, then, is focused on Greek Press from 14th September 1922 until 30th October 1922, and specifically, on the events that led to the Trial of the Six. Lastly, the Trial ( 31st October – 14th November 1922) and the Execution of the Six (15th November 1922) are studied through the Greek newspapers from 31 October 1922 till 30 November 1922.
