Summary:
In the context of this diploma thesis, we present a proposal for an educational digital scenario that constitutes a draft for the creation of educational software. We, therefore, propose a teaching intervention based on scientific / educational research methodology and digital technology. Purpose of the teaching intervention is to help students of the Second High School Class to apprehend how the relationship between microcosm and macrocosm is expressed in practice, which is the key to the interpretation of many macroscopic natural phenomena, especially those related to heat. The primary objective is to understand a basic body of concepts that are related, firstly, to the main stages of evolution of the Universe (from the Big Bang to the present), to the "components" of matter, and to the way it is constructed and assembled (e.g. elementary particles, fundamental interactions, atoms, molecules, chemical elements, chemical compounds, mixtures, material bodies). In the light of the microcosm model, concepts related to the particle movements (heat-temperature-thermal energy), the physical states of material bodies (solid-liquid-gaseous state) and some phenomena associated with these movements (shrinkage-dilation of materials, are presented below. Among the concepts considered, there are also the mass, the volume and the density, in combination with thermal conductivity. The teaching proposal is completed by the microscopic interpretation of some macroscopic thermal phenomena (change of physical state, heat flow to solid-liquid-gas bodies, thermal equilibrium). The software we intend to build on this digital scenario in the future, is expected to become a valuable tool, not just because it reclaims the particle theory using simulations of the microcosm model, but mainly because it links educationally microcosm and macrocosm in a peculiar way, that is no different from the presentation of the concepts of physics in the narrative way of a story (but also in the narrative way of the Universe's history), in combination with the promotion of motifs (and proportions) that are tools of interpretation, reconstruction of incorrect pre-existing perceptions and generalizations.
