Addictive substances, including among others, tobacco, alcohol, amphetamines, broad consumer tranquilizers, barbiturates and opioids, with their muin representatives being morphine and heroin.
The methodological approach we have followed is the quantitative analysis of the questionnaire method. Moreover, the current study will also go further on a bibliographic inguiry. Its purpose is to investigate the relationship between psychotropic substances and the potential toxicity of pregnant woman in treatment, as well as the likelihood of the embryo’s toxicity. The phenomenon of intoxication, also known as the phenomenon of poisoning, may result in a wide variety of manifestations associated with taking psychoactive substances.
Gonsequently, this research has led to the conclusion that pregnant women and users, beyond their own major physical risk and the embryo’s, they also suffer quite a lot psychologically , which may affect the subsequent health of the fetus.
