The organization and administration of Primary Education in Greece and England, from the second half of the 20th century until the 1970s. Comparative, institutional and ideological-political approach.
Summary:
The examination of educational phenomena, whether administrative, organizational or linguistic, should not be isolated from their wider historical context, which consists of economic, social and political parameters that function in their interpretation. This research has attempted to examine and interpret the relationship of interdependence between the existing political, ideological, economic and social conjuncture and the organizational and administrative structures of Primary Education in Greece and England from the second half of the 20th century until in the 1970s.
This comparative correlation relates to a research project that goes beyond the phenomenological approach and focuses on the concentration of legislation on the structures of administration and supervision of primary education in these two countries as well as on their study and interpretative evaluation in the context of the ideological, political and, by extension, their socio-economic context, which seeks to answer questions that are not only about the knowledge of the route followed by the educational structures in these two countries in the past, but illuminate significantly their educational paths in the future.
