The present study aimed to investigate the issues concerning the academic organizational structure and the administrative structure at King's College London.
Literature search on the academic organizational structure, the administrative structure of the King's College London and relevant information was undertaken using the official website of the university and other relevant studies. The research methodology used was the case study method.
King's College London is an independent corporation whose legal status derives from a Royal Charter originally granted in 1829. It is the most central university in London and is spread across five campuses. The Council is the supreme governing body of the College, while the Academic Board is the body responsible on behalf the Council for the academic work of the College. Academic activity at the University is primarily organized through its academic faculties, schools and departments. King's has an international horizon, attracting students and staff from around the world. The university also enjoys an excellent reputation for delivering world-class teaching and for being at the cutting edge of global research and through its collaborations and partnerships, at the global and local level, it is recognized as a thought-leader on interdisciplinary themes of global significance. King’s offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in a wide variety of subject areas, as well as a number of summer courses each year, academic preparation courses, short-term courses, programs and courses targeted at professionals.
