Summary:
The current assignment “Creative Writing Workshop as a literacy teaching tool in Secondary School” was produced as part of the Postgraduate Program "Theater and Education", which is included on the general postgraduate studies at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During the two years of the postgraduate program we were taught the importance of Theater as means for the development of the society. Apart from the theoretical studies, we were taught the necessity of applying theatrical techniques in education. Theater is known for it is bidirectional interaction between the stage and the audience. Therefore, Theater was always used as an educational tool, based on two-way communication and lifelong learning. The aim of this assignment is to merge theory and action through a Creativity Writing Workshop as a literacy teaching tool in secondary education.
