The Instruction of ''Modern Greek Language'', Based on the Modern Philosophical Theories
Summary:
The purpose of this study is to combine theory and practice in "Modern Greek Language": On the one hand, we will be focusing on the theoretical part, which we studied during the course in the current Master, and, on the other hand, we will be looking into its implementation in action. More specifically, and regarding the first part, we will analyze the five predominant philosophical theories: I) liberalism, ii) progressivism, iii) humanism, iv) behaviorism and v) radicalism. After the conduction of the theoretical analysis of each of the above-mentioned philosophical theories, emphasis will be given on if and in what way these specific philosophical theories affect teachers in the instruction of "Modern Greek Language". Namely, we will attempt to ascertain if and to what degree teachers themselves, deliberately or not, are being affected by them during the prosecution of the instruction of this certain linguistic class. In order to collect the necessary information, we will be conducting a qualitative research. More specifically, we will conduct semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers in total.
